Due to current world events, we are aware that many of you have decided to self-isolate. Below are links to useful educational resources you and your children can access whilst they are not attending school.
We will be finding out about our new friends. We will talk about our families and what makes us special. We will find out about what makes us the same and what makes us different from our friends. We will explore our classroom and outside learning environment.
Term 2 – How we express ourselves
We will be singing our favourite nursery rhymes and songs, as well as learning lots of new ones. We will add actions to the songs and use musical instruments to accompany them. We will express our likes and dislikes.
Term 3 – How the world works
We will describe the weather we can see daily and express our likes and dislikes. We will talk about the impact the weather is having on ourselves and our school environment. We will think of ways to help the wildlife in our school during the winter. We will develop an awareness of the climate in other parts of the world. We will find out about animals that live in hot or cold conditions and how they adapt to their surroundings.
Term 4 – How we organise ourselves
We will look at vehicles that travel passed our school. We will sort vehicles by how they travel – air, sea or land. We will experiment with paint and print as we investigate wheels and tyres. We will investigate floating and sinking when learning about boats. We will try and make paper planes that fly! We will look at the vehicles that the emergency services use.
