Starting from next week, home learning tasks will be supported by ‘The National Academy’ and ‘BBC Bitesize’. These resources will be used to further enhance the regular learning updates that you are receiving, providing further guidance when exploring and learning new curriculum skills. The links to these learning resources have been included below, so that you can become familiar with the educational resources we will be using.
The DfE has started daily phonics lessons to support learning at home. New lessons are uploaded daily at 10:00am and you will also find information on the web page about what your child will be learning each day! Please click on the link below to access this educational resource and find out more!
We will be finding out about our new friends. We will have the opportunity to talk about our families and what makes us special. We are finding out about what makes us the same and what makes us different from our friends. We will explore our new classrooms and outside learning environment. We will think about how we have changed.
Term 2 – How we express ourselves
We will be listening to a selection of popular fairytales. We will be thinking about why certain characters behave in the way they do. We will act out the stories and take on the roles of the different characters. Are they doing the right or wrong thing? We will be thinking about how we would act in different situations.
Term 3 – How we express ourselves
We will be learning about the solar system and how the solar system affects life on earth.
Term 4 – How we organise ourselves
We are going to be finding out about what makes us super. We will talk about real life superheroes eg. firefighters, nurses, etc, thinking about how they help us. We’ll find out about the different roles of the superheroes and talk about their special powers.
