Dear Parents/Carers,

What an extraordinary school year this has been and, with all that we’ve been through, Tree Tops still managed to come out on top. Our school continues to thrive and to be the school of choice for many with an ever increasing roll.

Our Year 6 children have been amazing and shown such resilience in these unusual times and we know that they are well prepared to go onto their new adventures in their secondary schools.  We wish them all the very best for the future.

I’ve been so proud of all of our efforts as a school. Everyone that is a part of Tree Tops should be extremely happy that we survived this year and made the best of all the challenges. This is such a special place and it is a huge privilege to be a part of it.

Our whole staff team made it a mission this year to ensure that no matter what, we were going to educate and care for the children to the best of our abilities each and every day. They succeeded; and so did our wonderful children! The children overcame such a lot and I’m sure that they will all remember this year when they look back on their education.

At the start of the school year I was apprehensive about what was to be as we embarked on this journey in such unusual circumstances. I have been a school leader for many years but never encountered anything like this before.  But to my surprise, the children and staff did not ever meet a task that they weren’t able to overcome, and they did so with flying colours!

We even managed to have exciting theme days like our Race for Life instead of Sports Day where we raised a breathtaking amount of money for Cancer Research, and our Diversity Day where we all celebrated our differences with a rainbow of colours and Elmer the Elephant!

To our staff – thank you for being so flexible and adaptable and willing to help out whenever needed. You have been absolute stars each and every day.

To our parents, grandparents, family members, friends and carers – thank you for supporting us, for carrying out learning at home and for giving us encouragement when needed.

To our children – You will always remember this year and what you went through – and you were fantastic! You were kind, you worked hard and you expected the very best of yourselves every day and I am so proud of you all.

I wish all of you a great summer. Don’t forget to visit and vote for our very own version of Elmer; our Lavender Elephant who is on show in The Mall in Maidstone.

I’m looking forward to seeing who has completed my Summer Reading Challenge too!

Please see below information for September.

We have a lovely surprise for the children for our first day back. They will have the opportunity to use individual trampolines within the class group for a special ‘Bounce Back to School’ session.  We will be ‘Bouncing Back’ on 1st September ready for another brilliant year!

Best Wishes,

Miss White

Principal
